{eShakti dress c/o, Elizabeth and James blazer (similar here), Saks pumps, Kate Spade clutch, Rachel Zoe belt, Gorjana necklace (similar here)}
Have you heard of eShakti yet? In case you haven't, it's an online shopping site that offers beautiful, timeless pieces you'll love for years to come (I especially love their selection of dresses). All of their clothing comes in sizes 0 through 36 and can be customized for style or fit. I can't even tell you how often I come across a skirt or a dress that I love only to find out that it's a couple of inches too short to flatter my body. Occasionally I will even give in into these purchases hoping to find some type of solution to add the much needed length. Well, guess what, several years later those pieces are still hanging in my closet completely untouched, because I never happened to find that perfect fabric or lace trim to attach to the bottom of the garment.
With eShakti I can choose any dress or skirt and make it the exact length I want. That's what I did with this embroidered poppy number. I chose below the knee length, which I find to be the most flattering. I also added short sleeves and removed the outside pockets to avoid extra volume in the hip area. I decided to go with the regular size, although I would strongly recommend customizing it to achieve the best fit. Be sure to measure yourself properly. You may want to ask someone to help you. Whether you choose to customize the item or go with the standard size it is very important that you compare your measurements with their sizing chart, which may be different than those of the brands you're used to. I made a mistake of grabbing my typical size even through my measurements were suggesting I may need to size up. I definitely could have used a bit more of a breathing room around the rib cage. Oh, well, I guess it will be another motivator to continue my sugar ban.
Right now eShakti is giving $25 gift coupons to those who register at their site! How cool is that?! I have my eyes on this classic scalloped neckline LBD and this adorable Peter Pan collar number.
