I spotted this Madewell shirt from across the room (how could you not?!) and instantly knew it was going home with me. It's fresh bright color is unlike anything I have in my closet. I knew it would liven up any plain outfit just like it did with this simple black ensemble. I'm looking forward to using it to spice up some of my beloved navy skirts next summer.
I don't know very many people who could pull off bold colors, but you certainly look amazing! Loving the accessories you paired it with as well! <3

Thank you, Linda, you're so sweet! I think the key with bold colors is to tone them down with some neutrals. I also think that certain colors look better with certain complexions. For example I find that bright pinks and blues go better with my super pale skin, while most yellows or neon greens make me look like I have food poisoning.
